The Heroes of the year award went to a team of scientists who worked on the mRNA coronavirus vaccine (Kizzmekia Corbet, Barney Graham, Katalin Kariko, and Drew Weissman). It was emphasized that their work will influence the well-being of entire humanity, as it’s a ‘’breakthrough of singular importance.’’
