As both used car and gas prices are skyrocketing, Kia Telluride ranks as the fastest-selling vehicle in January 2022. It tops the charts of new vehicles, taking only around 12 days to sell in dealerships across the country.
On average, new cars take around 36 days to get sold. Toyota seems to be doing well, as eight of its models made it into the top 20 list — the vehicles from this list cost anywhere from $23,074 (Toyota Corolla in the second place) to $98,597 (Chevrolet Corvette in the sixth place).
The only pickup truck to find its place on the list is the Ford Maverick. It comes in fifth place, and it’s so popular that dealerships don’t take retail orders anymore.
When it comes to used vehicles, Tesla Model Y tops this chart. It’s interesting to note that the top of the list is mostly made of alternative-fuel cars. The average price for a used car that’s produced in 2017 or later is $34,852.
The used vehicles’ top 20 chart shows that nine hybrid cars made it to the list. Despite being the most expensive ($67,121), Tesla Model Y remains in the first place, getting sold almost a week faster than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid which found its place as no. 20 on the list.
